Real emergency HVAC service means one thing: a licensed technician at your door today — not a callback tomorrow. We keep an on-call tech through the night, every night, and we have parts on the trucks so most emergency calls are solved on the first visit. If you're sweltering, if a new baby is in the house, or if you're managing a vulnerable family member — we move.

What counts as an HVAC emergency

Total no-cool in summer (heat index 95°+)

Compressor failure, tripped breaker, failed contactor, low charge — all fixable fast if a real tech shows up.

Total no-heat in a freeze

Ignitor, flame sensor, gas valve, control board. Never sleep in a house below 55°F — pipes can freeze, vulnerable people can suffer.

Water pouring from indoor unit

Clogged condensate line, rusted pan, or frozen coil. Will cause ceiling damage within hours — call us immediately.

Burning smell from vents

Could be dust burn-off on a new season (normal for 5 minutes) or could be a motor or heat exchanger failure. Shut it off and call.

Strange grinding, screeching, or banging

Compressor or blower motor failure in progress. Running a failing compressor to 'see if it gets worse' will always cost more than stopping it now.

CO alarm activating

Shut off gas appliances, ventilate the house, get everyone outside, and call us — we'll diagnose free and recommend next steps.

Our process — four steps, zero surprises

  1. Book in two minutes. Online or by phone. Confirmation within the hour.
  2. Text when we're rolling. Tech photo, live ETA, and a real window — not a 4-hour guess.
  3. Diagnose and quote flat. We walk you through what we found, show you the part, and quote in writing. Nothing starts without a yes.
  4. Fix it and back it up. Most repairs done in one visit. Every job carries a workmanship guarantee.

Why Signature Air

We're a small, veteran-owned HVAC company based in Livingston Parish. Our techs earn a salary — not commission — so the repair we recommend is the one your house actually needs. We service every major brand (Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, American Standard, York, Daikin, Amana, Ruud), we carry the top 50 failure parts on every truck, and we answer our own phones 24/7.

If you're looking for a Baton Rouge or Livingston Parish HVAC company that shows up when they say they will, quotes flat, and doesn't try to sell you a new system during a $200 repair — that's us.

Called at 9 AM on a Saturday when our AC died. A tech was in the driveway by 11:30 and we had cold air by 1 PM. Honest estimate, no upsell.

The team installed a new Trane system for us. Showed up on time, laid down drop cloths, and left the garage cleaner than they found it. Worth every dollar.

Joined the Care Club last spring. They caught a failing capacitor during the tune-up before it left us sweating in August. Smartest $16/mo we spend.

Frequently Asked

24/7 Emergency HVAC Service — Questions

Do you really answer the phone at 2 a.m.?

Yes. (225) 963-1543 rolls to our on-call dispatcher 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You'll speak to a human on the first call.

What counts as an HVAC emergency?

Any total system failure in extreme weather (heat index 95°F+ or below 40°F indoors), active water leak from equipment, burning smell, or CO alarm. If you're unsure, call — we'll tell you honestly whether it can wait until morning.

How long is the response time at night?

Typical after-hours arrival in Livingston Parish and central Baton Rouge is 60–120 minutes. Further out (Watson, French Settlement, Port Vincent) can run 90–150 minutes. We give you a real ETA on the dispatch call.

What does emergency service cost?

The after-hours service fee is $89 (waived if we do the repair). Repair labor is the same flat rate as business-hours service — we don't double the labor at midnight. Care Club members skip the service fee.

Will you have the part my system needs?

Our trucks carry the top 50 failure parts for every major brand, so most emergency calls are fully resolved on the first visit. For rare parts, we'll stabilize the home (temporary A/C rental available) and return with the part next business morning.

Do you serve outside Livingston Parish after hours?

Yes — our after-hours coverage extends across Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Gonzales, and into eastern East Baton Rouge Parish. Call us and we'll confirm your address is in range.
